Did six minutes worth of HSPU and strict pullups. That was as far as I got on HSPU. Switched to kipping pullups and finished at 12 minutes/reps.

Both boys scored goals in their soccer game, they were excited. I missed them b/c I was coaching on other field.

They were having a blast at the Astros, called us basically each time they scored.

Amy and I devoured hamburgers and fries at Pappas Burgers, think that is our new favorite place on earth, but were both ravenous when we got there. Milkshake not bad either.

This was the chipper WOD that was last event at 2009 games. Finished right at 30 minutes. Cleans heavier than I would have liked but OK, broke into three sets. TTB terrible, grip already smoked. BJ unbroken but only 18" or so. Subbed weighted pullups and dips for muscle ups Weighted pullups slow, multiple sets, but dips unbroken. Push press unbroken. DU a disaster b/c my jump rope broke so had to break those up into 3-4 sets. Thrusters were VERY heavy, have definitely lost ground on those. Only three sets on pullups and 3 on burpees which was not bad. Lunges were fine. Weights were a little to heavy for me to go as fast as I should have, in retrospect should have lowered the weight a little. Stretched and rolled after.

I was exhausted all day but managed to get this done while playing with boys in the front after the rain. Felt OK, need to get a belt for the house when doing deads. Also took boys to park in AM, we walked a country mile there before the rain started. They were so proud of themselves for being able to follow directions on their own and build a couple of pretty big Lego cars. That was neat to see.

~14 minutes. 3:14 on the 800 which was pathetic but it was windy and I didn't warm up at all. DUs worse than expected, took around 3-4 minutes, not many mess ups just ran out of gas. Burpees ok - did 5 lateral burpees and then 5 regular and took small break.

Stretched then did tabata situps and pushups

Dentist this morning felt wonderful to sleep in and wake up next to Amy on a weekday.

Ran 1/2 marathon, finished in 1:54, ~8:44 mile pace. Felt great for first 7-8 miles, maintaining 8:30-35 pace, the started to fatigue. Overall a good experience, if I do it again sub 1:50 is possible but will absolutely need to put in more miles. Knees and feet sore, sure I will be stiff tomorrow.

Played outside all day with boys (and Avery for a little while), soccer, baseball, basketball trampoline. Gorgeous weather.

Watched the Masters off and on, boys were so excited about Mickelson b/c they had seen him at Shell Open.

Rest

An awesome couple of days though it was a whirlwind. Rachel wedding so rehearsal dinner on Thursday, wedding on Friday. Boys did great and had a blast. they looked so handsome in tuxes and behaved beautifully. They really enjoyed the reception as well, especially chocolate fountain.

Sat we played half of soccer game before thunder sent us home. And the birthday party was a success. They had a great time, and won't soon forget the looks on their faces when we sang happy birthday to them.

Walked around quite a bit at Shell Open with Amy and boys. Very windy but had a good time. Lunch in Shell Employee tent was very good - blackened redfish, fried chicken, corn, rice, crawfish etouffe, desserts and soft drinks. Saw Mickelson, Ernie Els, Fred Couples, etc. Saw George HW Bush.

Lots of folks over for Easter - boys had lots of fun with confetti eggs and really enjoyed their Easter baskets, seemed pretty excited about metal detector. Had a fun water gun fight with boys in front yard yesterday late afternoon as well.
